Wintry day in Wiltshire. The woods proved a challenge for most of the riders, a fitting end to the 2008 Midwest Series. See you all next year at the presentation evening.

To follow on from last years Farmer's Revenge, Chris has gone one better for this year. With less tyres but more muddy mounds, more telegraph poles and a trailer. I wonder what is planned for next year.

Water and Mud. Tough ride for all today. For many of the riders they had their yearly bath today.

Round 9 of the Midwest Series, and the last in the 2007 Championship. The landowner today added a few extras to the course to make it more interesting, included was some spare tyres, a log or two, and some parts of Weston Beach transported over via telepathy. All in which made it a tough course which was a good way to finish off the series. See you all next year @ Midwest.

Round 4 of the National Hewitt XC Championship at Bonds Farm, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge. Wiltshire.

Very very damp conditions made the going hard and the event was cut short because of safety and damage to the course.

Round 3 of the Hewitt National Cross Country Championship held at Chavenage Farm near to Tetbury, Gloucester.

Round 2 of the Hewit National Cross Country Championship held at Whiteway, Dursley in Gloucester.

The weather was cold, wet, windy, sunny, sleety and warm. A rather hard day to predict what the weather was going to do next.

Round 1 of the Hewit National Cross Country Championship held at Chavenage Farm, Tetbury.

Weather was chilly but dry. The course was damp and the mud was very sticky. Fun day.

Another wonderful event organised by the Midwest team. The weather was perfect for the days competing with sun and blue skies. It did start off a little chilly but the rest of the day was fine. The ground was wet/slippery and that can be seen in the photographs.

Most of the course was up in the woods where they went in and out of the woods a few times. This proved rather difficult for many of the riders today with a lot of people getting stuck in the mud.

Though the weather has been rather wet recently and the course was still rather wet it as a rather warm and sunny day. It was still tough for the riders as the wet ground made it hard to get much grip.

Lovely course, mainly technical wooded sections with a short stint in open fields.

Hot dry weather meant it was a tough event even though the riders spent most of the time in the woods. But even there it was still hot.
